The Battle of Brunkeberg
A new section of the museum’s primary displays opened in the autumn of 1998.
The Battle of Brunkeberg, 1471, is for ever inscribed in the Swedish history books. It was then that the noble Sten Sture drove out the Danes from Stockholm and rescued Sweden. In this display the event is given form through the building of a model and specially made tin soldiers. Work on the display case goes on constantly.
